Peptic / Gastric Ulcer Treatment

A peptic ulcer/gastric ulcer is a condition where the lining of the stomach or duodenum’s mucosa gets eroded and causes chronic gastritis. It is caused by Helicobacter pylori, infection stress, NSAIDs, alcohol, and smoking.

Acid reflux, or heartburn, causes an acidic fluid to be regurgitated from the stomach and into the esophagus brought on by certain factors, such as eating and lying down. Heartburn is typically induced by an overabundance of stomach acid or because of dysfunctional esophageal sphincter.

There are treatments for peptic ulcers including changing lifestyle habits, antacids, antibiotics, H2-receptor blockers, and proton pump inhibitors. Antacids are also used to treat peptic ulcers. Gastric and duodenal antibiotics
Surgical Intervention.
