Migraine Treatment

Migraine is a severe headache triggered by certain food, stress, lack of sleep, or flashing lights. It often interferes with the ability to work, perform daily activities, and participate in social events.

The key to treating migraines is in understanding the different types of pain and their severity. Avoid triggers:-

● Reduce or stop alcohol intake.
● Avoid caffeine.
● Stop smoking and other addictions, such as food and drugs.
● Take medications as prescribed by a doctor.
● Avoid taking anything without a doctor’s instructions.
● Keep a headache journal; this will help you recognize patterns in your migraine.

The typical migraine attack is a throbbing sensation that usually lasts about four hours. The pain can be accompanied by nausea and vomiting as well as sensitivity to light or noise. There are different types of treatments for migraine headaches including painkillers, prescription drugs, abortive medications such as Midrin or Imitrex
