Asthma and Nebulization

Asthma is a chronic inflammatory disorder of the airways characterized by one or more of the following symptoms: wheezing, breathlessness, chest tightness, and production of Sputum. It can be triggered by inhalation of allergens or irritants, including pollen, pet dander, smoke, and pollutant particles.
Asthma treatment can include:
● Advice on how to avoid asthma triggers
● A doctor’s advice regarding weight reduction and physical fitness  in these individuals
● A doctor’s advice about childhood asthma
● Self-monitoring and medical management when required
Treatment with medication usually involves the use of bronchodilators and inhaled corticosteroids as well as other drugs like beta-agonists. antihistamines, and anticholinergics to open the airways and provide a sense of relief.

Symptoms

  • Recurring episodes of wheezing
  • Shortness of breath
  • Chest tightness or pain
  • Coughing, especially at night or early morning
  • Trouble sleeping due to coughing or wheezing
  • Fatigue or weakness
  • Rapid breathing
  • Difficulty speaking due to shortness of breath
  • Bluish lips or fingernails
  • Anxiety or restlessness
